«EKRA Caucasus» is implementing large-scale works to modernize Yerevan’s electricity distribution network

Amid the active development of central Yerevan and the resulting increase in electricity consumption, large-scale modernization works are being carried out at the Myasnikyan 35/6 kV substation. The substation is also supplied from the Kirza 110/35/6 kV substation. As part of the investment program, «EKRA Caucasus» LLC is carrying out a comprehensive range of works aimed at modernizing the substation and the adjacent electrical infrastructure, including: 🔹 replacement of two 16 MVA transformers with new 25 MVA transformers; 🔹 replacement of the 35 kV switchgear with modern vacuum circuit breakers; 🔹 replacement of the 35 kV «Myasnikyan-1» and «Myasnikyan-2» overhead power lines, which are in poor condition and have been a frequent cause of outages, with new overhead and cable lines offering higher transmission capacity. Supplying electricity to more than 7,000 customers in the central part of Yerevan, the Myasnikyan substation and its surrounding energy infrastructure are being modernized in three stages: 🔹 Stage 1 — installation of a cable line from the Myasnikyan substation to the area adjacent to Yerevan Zoo; 🔹 Stage 2 — installation of an overhead line from Myasnikyan Avenue to Gogol Street; 🔹 Stage 3 — installation of cable lines from Gogol Street to the Kirza 110/35/6 kV substation. The implementation of the project by «EKRA Caucasus» will create the necessary conditions to meet the growing electricity demand in central Yerevan, increase the reliability of the power distribution network, and ensure stable and high-quality electricity supply to consumers. «EKRA Caucasus» — a reliable partner for reliable energy.
