EKRA Caucasus” Participates in Large-Scale Modernization of Yerevan’s Energy Infrastructure

“EKRA Caucasus” Participates in Large-Scale Modernization of Yerevan’s Energy Infrastructure “EKRA Caucasus” LLC is participating in one of the key programs aimed at developing and modernizing Yerevan’s energy infrastructure, carrying out a range of works at the “Kentronakan” 110/35/6 kV substation and the newly constructed “Noragyugh” 35/6 kV modular substation. The program is being implemented, among other objectives, to ensure uninterrupted and reliable power supply in Yerevan during the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 17) and related events. Noragyugh 35/6 kV Modular Substation “EKRA Caucasus” LLC is carrying out equipment installation, connection, and commissioning preparation works at the newly constructed “Noragyugh” 35/6 kV modular substation. Built in accordance with modern technical standards, the substation is intended not only to ensure reliable power supply during COP 17 events, but also to contribute to the further development of the power supply system in Yerevan’s Kentron administrative district and newly developing areas of the city. The program also includes the construction of new low-voltage substations and the development of the corresponding electrical networks. Modernization of the Central 110/35/6 kV Substation One of the key components of the program is the modernization of the “Kentronakan” 110/35/6 kV substation and the expansion of its capacity. Specialists from “EKRA Caucasus” LLC are carrying out works involving the installation of electrical equipment and systems, construction and connection of 35 kV and 6 kV networks, as well as the installation and commissioning of relay protection and automation systems. An additional third 63 MVA transformer has been installed at the substation, while the 6 kV system has also been expanded with the addition of a third section. As part of the program, approximately 1.2 km of 35 kV overhead and cable lines have been constructed between the “Kentronakan” substation and the “Noragyugh” 35/6 kV modular substation, along with the modernization of the related energy infrastructure. Another important area of work is the construction of 6 kV power cable networks and the installation of new substations. Advanced Technologies and Professional Expertise The works carried out by “EKRA Caucasus” LLC include the implementation of engineering and technical solutions, equipment supply and installation, construction of cable lines, as well as the installation, programming, commissioning, and testing of relay protection and automation systems. The project is being implemented using modern technological solutions and high-reliability equipment aimed at ensuring the safe, stable, and efficient operation of the substations. This large-scale program is of significant importance for the development of Yerevan’s energy infrastructure, improving the reliability of electricity supply, and ensuring the energy needs of the city’s newly developing areas. “EKRA Caucasus” LLC continues to contribute to the modernization of Armenia’s energy system by delivering high professional standards, technical reliability, and advanced energy solutions.
